Space Shuttle Statues to be Painted for Student Scholarships
Over 100 space shuttles will land this November at the Kennedy Space Center, though NASA can take credit for only one. The additional orbiters will be courtesy the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, which on Thursday formally announced the "Shuttles Orbiting the Space Coast" program, a public art exhibit organized to celebrate the first half-century of U.S. space exploration.

Vandals Deface Student Mural in East Stroudsburg
Student art-work has been destroyed by vandals in Monroe County. After he found graffiti all over the mural, artist Michael Jones painted over part of his masterpiece in East Stroudsburg. He and others have worked on for 6 years on Crystal Street.

CARE Gallery to host Columbia teen’s artwork
COLUMBIA — Bob Dynamite will celebrate more than just his 17th birthday on Saturday. It is also the first time his artwork will be the only art gracing the walls of a gallery. His collection, called “People Saying Stuff,” consists of 10 paintings on varying sizes of scrap wood.
