Tickets go on sale for King Tut exhibit
DALLAS—Tickets for the King Tut exhibit opening this fall at the Dallas Museum of Art went on sale Tuesday. The exhibit, “Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs,” is making an encore visit to the United States after a two-year tour that drew nearly 4 million visitors ended in September 2007.

A home for Black Historical Society
DOWNTOWN SAN DIEGO – The Black Historical Society of San Diego, founded more than a decade ago to fight the demolition of important properties, now has its own place downtown. Today, the group will dedicate a museum, genealogical research center and gift shop in downtown's East Village. The venue opens to the public on Saturday.

The Gimp 2.4 was released today and it includes a number of new features, like scalable brushes, align tool, new selection tools, color Management and soft-proofing, Red Eye removal and much more . Unfortunately, there is still no 16bit per pixel support, which is useful for digital photography editing.
