Sculptor's work on display at five museums
"Granddad brought the first electric Arc Welder to Throckmorton County, Texas in the 1930s when times were pretty tough. Dad opened his welding shop when he was just 20 and gave me my first welding hood when I was 2 years old, so naturally I grew up in and around the shop. Cutting, welding and forming steel has always been in my blood -- and then I discovered art."
