Harvest Moon Fest brings arts to city park
PARKERSBURG - City Park was filled with arts and crafts over the weekend during the 46th annual Harvest Moon Festival in City Park. More than 3,600 people attended Saturday and attendance was also strong Sunday, said event organizer Vickie Marshall. The festival is named for the full moon phase closest to the autumn equinox and is the Wood County Recreation Commission's largest fundraiser.

Evening of the Arts fundraiser Sept. 27
The 28th annual Evening of the Arts fundraiser for arts education programs in southern Beaufort County schools will take place Sept. 27 at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn. A silent auction will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception and live music by jazz and blues artist Jan Spencer; a live auction begins at 7:45 p.m. Ticketsare $100 and available by calling 843-681-5381.

New world dance record sought at Body Festival
