Sculpture vandals come forward, apologize
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Apparently, it was just horseplay. Three young people who say they accidentally damaged the horse sculpture outside of the MASIE Center at 95 Washington St. after drinking downtown have come forward to Elliott Masie, who owns the business.

Children take the spotlight at New West Symphony fundraiser
Children aren't usually considered fans of classical music, but that old tune is changing. Supporters of the New West Symphony bid more than $150,000 on live and silent auction items last weekend as part of the organization's annual Symphony of Wine fundraiser to support the group's youth music programs.

Exhibit: "On the Edge" starts today and runs through Oct. 12 in the Walter Greer Gallery in the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, 14 Shelter Cove Lane. The 28th annual Evening of the Arts fundraiser for arts education programs in southern Beaufort County schools will take place Saturday at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn.
