Fontana Work May Fetch $21.8 Million in Record Christie's Sale
The 48 lots of Christie's Oct. 19 postwar and contemporary art event, held on the concluding Sunday of the art fair, are expected to fetch at least 57 million pounds, the auction house said in an e-mailed statement. The equivalent sale last October carried a lower estimate of 39.9 million pounds.
