Statue of Fertility God Offensive to Some in Bluff
A state park in southern Utah is moving a statue of an ancient fertility god to a more discrete spot over complaints the figure is anatomically correct. The sculpture by Bluff artist Joe Pachak has welcomed visitors to a museum at Edge of the Cedars State Park for 19 years. Park manager Teri Paul says it's being moved to a less obvious place in the park.

Artwork takes shape at Ada Hayden Heritage Park
By Ronnie Miller/The Tribune Patrick Dougherty, an environmental artist, weaves willow saplings as he works to create a sculpture on the northwest corner of the lake Wednesdsay at Ada Hayden Heritage Park. Dougherty and volunteers started work Monday and expect to complete the sculpture by Saturday, Oct. 18.

Artists Invited to Submit Sculpture Designs
Pieters Family Life Center in Henrietta is inviting artists to submit designs for an outdoor sculpture. The wellness center has secured a $47,000 state grant to fund the project from design to delivery. The center has already landscaped the space where the sculpture will be placed.
