Checkmate again for Leonardo? Chess book's diagrams are linked to artist
Franco Rocco, an Italian architect and sculptor, examined the illustrations in "De Ludo Scachorum," (The Game of Chess), a book by Luca Pacioli, a Renaissance friar, and determined that Leonardo created the design on which the illustrations are based. But his conclusion has been questioned by Martin Kemp, a Leonardo expert at Oxford.
